The 10 Best Cities for New Year’s Eve in 2021, and the Ten Cheapest

WalletHub.com released its annual list of the best cities to be in for New Year’s.  And as always, they didn’t factor in the exhausted demographic who just wants to pass out on the couch at 10:30.

The 28 factors they looked at include:  Firework displays, weather, how many restaurants and liquor stores there are, traffic and safety, and how much everything costs.

New York is #1.  It ranked first in entertainment, 10th in safety, and second-to-last in cost.

They considered the 100 largest cities in the U.S., and the Top 10 this year are:  New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Atlanta, Miami, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Denver, Louisville, Kentucky, and Houston.

If you’re only focused on PRICE, then the best place to be is Greensboro, North Carolina.  It’s the cheapest city to celebrate in.  It ranked 51st overall.

The ten cheapest cities for New Year’s are:  Greensboro, El Paso, Texas, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lexington, Kentucky, Lubbock, Texas, Birmingham, Alabama, Irving, Texas, Memphis, Oklahoma City, and Corpus Christi, Texas.
