Five Random Facts for Monday

Here are some random facts for you.


1.  Violet was one of the original M&M’s colors when they were introduced in 1941.  They lasted less than 10 years before they were replaced by the tan color.  And those were eventually replaced by blue.


2.  The movie “Beetlejuice” is 92 minutes long, but Beetlejuice is only on-screen for 17 minutes and 30 seconds.


3.  The most expensive item that was lost when the Titanic sank was a painting called “La Circassienne au Bain” by a painter named Merry-Joseph Blondel.  It was worth $100,000, which is about $2.5 million in today’s dollars.


4.  The Boston song “More Than a Feeling” is about a girl named Marianne.  She was the lead singer’s older cousin who he was secretly in love with as a kid.


5.  When hippos poop, they spin their tails around, so the poop flings all over the place to mark their territory.
