It’s a good time to be a Chris Stapleton fan, because he’s everywhere this week. It started yesterday when Justin Timberlake posted a clip of his new song “Say Something“. Chris is on that, and it’s out today.
He’s also going to be the musical guest on this week’s “Saturday Night Live“. Will Ferrell is the host.
And the Grammys announced he’ll be performing with Emmylou Harris. We don’t know the details, but Emmylou’s already in line for a big night. She’ll be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, alongside Queen, Tina Turner, and Neil Diamond.
Chris’s night could also get bigger because he has three nominations. He’s up for Best Country Solo Performance for “Either Way”, Best Country Song for “Broken Halos” and Best Country Album for “From A Room: Volume 1”.
By the way, Chris was recently asked why it took so long for his career to take off. He says it’s never been about having huge success. “I always just tried to make it about music first, and let music lead. Everything else will fall wherever it will.”
